The C# Ping

Over here in the cubicle trenches there was the idea of writing and saving messages with scripts. Then we would have this Windows server monitor these computers with a steady stream of pings and invasive pulls of data generated by the scripts. Then, like some zany characters in a Monty Python sketch, we hit upon the other, other operation: we would have the computer scripts write, build and send the messages to a centralized server. This for us was the turning point. Sorry, Altiris.
