Word 2003 XML Document ‘Fails’ at 177 Pages
This Blog post is written in Microsoft Office Word 2003 as a WordprocessingML document. After about 177 pages, the background spellchecking began to fail when spelling errors (mostly proper nouns) exceeded some unknown limit. So, technically, the Word document itself did not fail and the fact that it’s an XML document had nothing to do with it. The solution to this problem, by the way, is to break down the large document into smaller documents.
