Design Diary: Still Holding YUI at Version 0.12.2
The YUI party is raging down the hall in the proverbial dormitory but I’m still stuck in my room with version 0.12.2. They have a keg full of 2.3.0—and here I am stuck in zero something! What’s going on? The problem is beta seepage. At first my assumption was that the YUI components marked “beta” were neatly confined to the new widgets (which are very exciting) but when my production TabView implementations broke under 2.3.0 my loud time management alarm went off and 0.12.2 was rolled back in.
It will really be a great time in my life when the world of beta software can be proactively and eagerly explored. But now there is just not enough surplus energy for these healthy games.
