Flippant Remarks about These Obama Days

Kayne West for PresidentFirst flippant remark: A whole lot of Black people in media making will remind us that the United States has a few Presidents and Senators with “Negro blood” from the early days of this thang.

Next flippant remark: Kayne West could represent the beginning of a flood of post-modern, clean-cut colored folk for a “new” pop aesthetic—a new youth culture—governed by the manner and dress code of Barak Obama. Saggy pants will be replaced by chinos. This alone would be a welcome change for me.

Barack Obama HopePeople who write with a certain kind of passionate optimism about Obama on the Web (who are over 30 years of age) reveal, in explicit digital form, the depths of their ignorance. Even dirty-ass prezodent Bush needs a large, powerful, dedicated, wealthy support base that gives all of the ignorant the illusion that “one man” is changing the world.

Negroes get the leftovers when the white folks are finished. In many, many motherfucking ways, America is done. Let’s “play” in my little “dream world” and assume that the wealth of the American people is looted by a wealthy oligarchy during “times of war.” So a Black President don’t mean shit to a rich guy who has moved all his shit to Dubai. It would never surprise me that myself and many of you that read this Blog will save over one million U.S. dollars for our retirement. But my “crazy” prediction about our future is that being a multi-millionaire (in what we now call U.S. dollars) won’t mean shit 30 years from now. In a bizarre way, I hope the hope of the captive that I am completely wrong about this…

My eldest son is supporter for Barak Obama and I am proud of what he is doing. But my son is 18 years old! You old folks out there need to calm the f’ down. Putting one Black man in the nation’s highest office is cute. Putting one Black man in the nation’s highest office that is a dedicated representative of an organized international network of progressive, powerful, influential Black people is a firm down payment for an Afro-future. Yes, a real Black man’s obligations to a “special interest group” include The Creator of the Universe so one should never be afraid of his “selfish” motives.
