MICHAEL MASSENBURG—Visual artist, teacher and curator. Massenburg’s artwork has been exhibited and collected by museums and galleries throughout the country.
Mr. Massenburg has been awarded numerous grants and public art commissions. His most recently completed public artworks are: one for the Y.O.U. High School’s new L.A. campus, The American Jazz Museum in Kansas City Missouri, three for the ESPN Zone at various location throughout the country and two artist/youth collaborative ceramic tile murals for Inglewood Cultural Arts.
Mr. Massenburg is the board president of Inglewood Cultural Arts, a non-profit arts organization and the Sheenway School and Cultural Center. As a teacher, he is a three year CAC artist-in-residence conducting visual arts workshops for Inglewood youth. He is a founding member of the “L.A. Collective”, an African American artist curatorial and exhibition group.
