So it goes like this: this guy who goes by townee (Devin Davis) left me with a lifetime supply of poetry (assuming the best years of your life is about eight years) back in 1999 and I have been living with it ever since. This is the third time I am spending these precious words here in the kinté space after “How I’d Describe Myself in 25 Words, or Less” (2002) and “Snapshots of Space Time” (2004).
In this age of text messaging and twitter, Devin’s work takes economy to the microscopic sublime (with humor) and should be influencing those kids, young and old, chewing the cud of electric pop pulp.
