We here in the kinté space are not ashamed to sift for scraps. Through the power of the commons, we have defied a few record-label minions to present three Saul Williams recordings. As much as Saul would want to present and reproduce his material when he wants and where he wants, his wanton wishes are overridden by those that paid him (imperfect past tense). We wait for news about when he steps out and organizes his own block party (might have already happened), but for now: three.

The first is a freestyle move called “Nomans land” from a PoP dEFECT RADIO: AUDIO WARFARE episode. The second is an excerpt of a live performance (San Francisco, April 22, 2005) of “Coded Language” from the album Amethyst Rock Star. The final law-suit-free crumb for us poor folk is the Coldcut Remix of “Not in Our Name” in another PoP dEFECT RADIO episode, Antiwar Hip Hop 2.

This state of affairs is far better than that of Sekou Sundiata right about now. So we really should not complain and so we express gratitude for what was found so far, falling through the cracks.
